Potty Training

Clara started potty training boot camp this past weekend. She has actually been going potty for several months but not on a consistent basis and we really haven't pushed the issue or done any systematic training since we've had our hands full with adding brother into the mix. We started the week by reading books about going potty every day and watching the Daniel Tiger episode about going potty several times. On Thursday we went shopping for big girl panties which she quite enjoyed. She wanted one of every kind but we finally settled on Frozen and Dora. The next morning we packed up all our diapers and gave them to brother then put on our panties! We drank lots of juice and got treats for pee peeing on the potty and stickers for telling mom and dad we needed to go and being successful. After 4 stickers we got a prize out of the prize basket. The first half of the day went ok but we had several accidents. After nap it seemed to get even worse but after dinner that night something just clicked and she started telling us and going each time. The next day we only had one accident and haven't had an accident since! We had one poopy accident earlier on and haven't had another poopy since. I think she is probably holding it so hopefully we will be able to do that in the potty this time. I am soooo proud of my big girl!! I was really expecting accidents for a couple of weeks until she got the hang of things but she is doing awesome! She even kept her pull-up dry during nap the last 2 days.
