Miles at 8 Months

My sweet baby boy is growing so fast! Miles is crawling all over the place, pulling up on everything and has just started letting go for a few seconds and balancing before falling. He is saying momma and has started playing with big sister more and more. Mostly he is Clara's patient when she plays doctor. He doesn't mind at all and pretty much thinks sister is the greatest thing ever. Miles still has some serious night time sleeping issues, getting up 3 times on a good night and 10-11 times on a bad night. He has started sleeping in the swing to help the reflux and that seems to be helping some. Poor guy doesn't get to have very scheduled naps during the day because of Clara having to go to preschool two mornings a week then lambs another morning. On those days he pretty much takes 4 10 minute naps in the morning when we are in the car then sleeps 1-2 hours in the afternoon. He's dropped the third nap mainly because scheduling isn't really conducive to it anymore but if we go anywhere in the late afternoon he will sleep in the car for a third nap. He is still getting solids once a day in the evening but is much more picky than Clara ever was at that age. He will definitely let you know if he doesn't like something! He nurses the rest of the time and still refuses to take a bottle although I've pretty much given up trying. Miles does really well playing by himself and is completely content these days crawling around the playroom and playing with toys. He now has both bottom front teeth which I haven't actually seen because he refuses to let me look in his mouth but I can feel them coming through.

Miles has had a cold for several weeks and today I took him to the pediatrician and he has his first ear infection. Poor kid is now on prevacid for reflux, miralax for constipation, probiotics to help his tummy issues, amoxicillin for his ear and occasionally teething tablets for teething pain. Hopefully we can get this little man healthy soon!

We love you more and more every day Miles! Daddy says there will be even more love for you once you start sleeping through the night! Ha! Clara told me yesterday that she loves brother Miles soooo much. We are so glad you are part of our family little buddy!
