Be still my heart

This morning we were on the way to church and the Chris Tomlin song Jesus Loves Me was on the radio. After a while Clara asks me "mommy why does Jesus love me?"  Oh sweet girl he just does. And there is nothing you have done or can do to make him stop loving you. He loves us sooo much and he always will. She is quiet for a moment then says "that's why he died on the cross right mommy? Because he loved us?" It took me a minute to get words to come out of my mouth but then I told her she was so very right. He died on the cross because he wanted us to live, forgiven of our sins. That's how much he loved us. 

The day's might be long and hard sometimes with this precious strong willed daughter of mine but oh so very worth it. There can be nothing sweeter than hearing her begin to understand God's truth.
