House Hunt (Part II)

Okay, so three house bids and still no house. We felt frustrated but at the same time we really felt God's hand in everything and we knew He has the perfect house for us out there somewhere. So we kept looking and eventually we found a house that we both really liked. Neither of us LOVED it but it met all of our criteria and was in our price range. We decided there was no reason not to put a bid on it, plus the community had a pool which would be awesome for Clara. We also knew several people that live close by which would be nice and it was a good location being just off Ebeneezer so close to church and close to the highway for Brian to get to work. We put in a bid that was a little lower than asking price but judging by the comps it was priced a little high. Amazingly, for the first time we were the only bidders but for some reason it still took the sellers 2 1/2 days to get back to us with a counter. They countered $1,000 below asking price which was pretty much nothing. We were a little annoyed but we countered back a little more than we originally had offered and told them that it was our final offer because of several things that were clearly wrong with the house and the comps. It took them another 2 full days to get back to us and they countered $500 less than their previous counter, but their realtor said they were still open to negotiation. By this time we are pretty much fed up with these people although it does sound like eventually we probably could agree on a price. Within minutes of getting the latest email about that house I get the email that shoes me the new listings that had come up that day. One of them looks really awesome but its in Cary and we really haven't been looking in Cary. Its on a lake which really intrigues me so I send it to Brian just to see what he says. He calls me right back and says it looks awesome, what does it hurt to go look at it. We call the realtor and she says the house is booked up with showing all day but if we can be there in an hour we can look at it.

When I drive up in the driveway at the house Brian comes up to the car (he had gotten there a few minutes early and had already looked around the outside of the house) and tells me we are going to buy this house. The inside of the house ends up being just as amazing as the outside. It had been remodeled the year before so everything was new and the layout was just what we were looking for. It had 4 bedrooms plus a bonus room which was what we really wanted because we would like to have a big family. It was amazing how the more we looked at the house, the more we realized it had every single thing that we had prayed about that we wanted in a house and more. As we were saying this, I remembered a verse I had read recently during my lambs Bible study that had really stood out to me. "Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us." -Ephesians 3:20.  And then it hit me like a ton of bricks. Here I have been second guessing the Lord for months and months, doubting that he can provide the house we want, being frustrated that he wasn't working a little more quickly according to MY SCHEDULE and even through all that he is faithful and provides far more abundantly than all that we ask. God blesses us so much each and every day and how often am I so caught up in my own plans that I don't even see the blessings. There were two offers on the house but I wasn't worried. This was exactly where God had intended us to be all along. We start moving in on June 1st!! I can't wait to see what God has planned for us in Cary.
